Booking Policy 

All Yd Jewellery Designs workshop students are required to complete and sign the Jewellery Workshop Waiver Form, agreeing to abide by the Jewellery Workshop Terms and Conditions as outlined below.

Jewellery Workshop Terms and Conditions

Please take a moment to read the Jewellery Workshop Terms and Conditions, then complete, sign and submit the waiver form via the button at the end.

Workshop Safety

  1. Do not wear open toed or open heeled footwear (i.e., flip-flops, sandals or clogs) in the jewellery studio. 

  2. Long hair is to be tied back at all times.

  3. Do not wear synthetic clothing or articles of clothing or jewellery that flow, or hang off the body. eg scalf, shawl, hoodie cords etc.

  4. Safety glasses will be provided and are to be worn when cutting metal and using workshop equipment.

  5. Do not use any equipment without an instructor present

  6. Usage of the Flame Torch for students under the age of 18 can be carried out by the instructor. There is an option for Parent/Legal Guardian to agree or disagree to the minor's usage of the Flame Torch within the Jewellery Class Waiver Form.

  7. Do not bring large amounts of cash or valuable items to the workshop.

  8. Yd Jewellery Designs accepts no liability for property loss, damage to personal belongings, or physical injury of any kind.

The participant understands that by agreeing to these terms they are forever prevented from suing or otherwise claiming against Yd Jewellery Designs for any property loss of personal injury that the participant may sustain while participating in or preparing for, going to or coming from the above noted activity.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure your safety such as correct tuition and safety equipment provision the participant acknowledges and understands that there are inherent dangers associated with jewellery making, jewellery soldering, and other related activities, and that mortal or serious personal injuries and property damage, including (but not limited to) physical effort, cuts, burns, and/or inhalation of hazardous substances may occur from participation in such activities and participation is at your own risk.

Media Consent

Yd Jewellery Designs may take, use, and publish photos of participants for publicity purposes. Photos of participants are often used in Yd Jewellery Design’s website and social media publications to promote future jewellery classes. I hereby grant Yd Jewellery Designs permission to use my likeness, name, voice and words in any print media account of this event or activity free of charge. Option to agree to disagree in Jewellery Workshop Waiver Form.

 

IF THE PARTICIPANT IS A MINOR, his or her custodial parent or legal guardian must read and execute (agree or disagree) to these terms and conditions in the Jewellery Workshop Waiver Form. I hereby warrant that I am the custodial parent or legal guardian of the participant listed above, who is a minor, on my own and said minor’s behalf to the terms and conditions of the foregoing release.

Cancellation

Cancellations prior to first lesson will incur a 15% fee. Payment is non refundable after commencement of class, but is transferable to another term. Missed classes may be made up by prior arrangement only if there is another class vacancy. Classes cancelled by the teacher will be either added on at the end of term or the next convenient day available to all students.

Release of Liability & Indemnification

I hereby release Yd Jewellery Designs, its agents, representatives, successors, or assignees, from all liabilities, actions, claims, damages, demands, costs, and expenses which I now or in the future may have against them, arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in a Jewellery Workshop, including enroute to or from the workshop or its related events.

 

I understand that the waiver includes, but is not limited to, all injuries to me and or loss of any personal property. I also understand that this waiver includes, but is not limited to, any claims that are based on my alleged negligence or any other action or inaction of any of the above parties.
