KIDS' SILVER CLAY WORKSHOP
In this fun kids' workshop you'll learn how to roll out, stamp and engrave into silver clay. Next you'll air dry and torch fire the clay, watching it transform into solid, silver metal. You will then sand, file, and blacken (antique) the silver. The final technique is to polish the surface and attach any findings ready to wear your hand made Jewellery piece. You will receive some plasticine to practice and test out your shapes and stamping - then some silver clay, from which you will create a silver pendant or pair of earrings.
Workshops take place in my home studio in Tarrawanna. The address is emailed to you once booking is complete.
Cost is $100 AUD per person. Includes an information pack, silver or copper clay, training and use of tools and equipment, a silver chain to hang your pendant, some water and a small treat.
The student must be at least ten years old and able to handle some specialised jewellery hand tools. Each workshop class has no more than 5 students, ensuring the teaching time is very much one-on-one. There is a minimum requirement of 4 students before a workshop will proceed.
