About this workshop
This is a beginner’s workshop where you will learn traditional silver-smithing techniques including: sawing, annealing, soldering, forming, texturing and polishing. You will receive a piece of copper sheet for practice and then a piece of silver from which you will create your silver ring. Workshops are held in Yvette's home studio in Tarrawanna. The address will be sent to you via email once you make your booking. Workshop time is 10:00am - 4:30pm. Cost is $200 AUD per person. This includes: - An Information for Beginners Kit - Sufficient silver material (5gms) to complete a standard ring - The use of tools and equipment for the duration of the class - Lunch, tea & coffee PLEASE NOTE: If students would like to make larger or wider rings additional silver will be required, and any weight above the 5gms will be costed for purchase during the workshop. Full payment is required when booking to secure a place in the workshop. Each workshop class has no more than 5 students, ensuring the teaching time is very much one on one. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations prior to first lesson will incur a 15% fee. Payment is non refundable after commencement of class, but is transferable to another term. Missed classes may be made up by prior arrangement only if there is another class vacancy. Classes cancelled by the teacher will be either added on at the end of term or the next convenient day available to all students.
