About this workshop

This is a one-day workshop where you will make a silver ring following a guided minimalist style, that incorporates a cabochon stone, included. You will shape the silver into a ring, create a bezel to house your stone and push the metal over the stone and secure it in place. ​This is an intermediate to advanced workshop, where some basic knowledge of silver metal smithing & soldering is needed. You will improve on your silver-smithing techniques such as: sawing, annealing, soldering, forming, texturing, and polishing and learn new skills with stone setting. Workshops are held in my home studio in Tarrawanna. The address will be sent to you via email once you make your booking. Snacks, tea, coffee & water is provided. Please bring your own lunch or, there is a cafe in nearby Tarrawanna Village. ​Workshop time is: 9:30am - 4:30pm. Cost is $220 AUD per person. This will include your gem stone and silver, an information pack, some consumables, the use of my tools and equipment and my knowledge and assistance.  ​Each workshop class has no more than 5 students, ensuring the teaching time is very much one on one.
