About this workshop
Get creative and make your own handmade ring for the love of your life. You may want to make wedding rings, an anniversary mile stone or special commitment rings. You might be looking for a date night/day alternative. You will not be sharing this workshop with any other couples it’s your own creative and memorable time together. Couples will be supported with expert advice in learning jewellery methods and techniques. This workshop can be for beginners to experienced students. In the workshop you will learn traditional silver or gold-smithing techniques including sawing, annealing, soldering, forming, texturing and polishing. You will receive a piece of copper sheet for practice and then the piece of your chosen material from which you will create your special ring for your partner. Workshops are held in Yvette's home studio in Tarrawanna. The address will be sent to you via email once you make your booking. Workshop time is 9:30am - 2:30pm. In this 4 - 5 hours workshop you will make a ring for each other. The cost is $560 AUD per couple in sterling silver. This includes: - An Information for Beginners kit. - Some materials including 5gms silver per student (10gms per couple) - Use of tools and equipment for the during of the workshop - Lunch, tea & coffee After this workshop you will enjoy a glass of bubbles so you can reflect on that amazing ring you made for each other. Please NOTE: If students would like to make larger and wider rings additional silver will be required, and any weight above the 5gms will be costed for purchase during the workshop. If students would like to make gold rings, there will be a quote drawn up prior to the class. An initial consultation is a good idea to determine the design, materials and size of your fingers. Once we have established a date, a 50% deposit is to be paid upon booking. The remaining balance can be paid on, or before the day of the workshop. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations prior to first lesson will incur a 15% fee. Payment is non refundable after commencement of class, but is transferable to another term. Missed classes may be made up by prior arrangement only if there is another class vacancy. Classes cancelled by the teacher will be either added on at the end of term or the next convenient day available to all students.
